Starch Living uses only natural fibres such as linen, cotton, silk, wool, mohair, and their blends.
These fibres are biodegradable, come from renewable sources, and are gentler on the skin and the planet.
No polyester, nylon, acrylic, or blended synthetics are used.
This avoids plastic pollution and microfiber shedding into waterways.
All our fabrics are sourced from certified Italian mills known for quality and craftsmanship.
The mills use traditional looms and custom warp and weft settings to create unique textures and depth in the fabric.
Low-impact dyes are used, and environmental regulations are followed to ensure sustainability.
The fabrics are sewn and finished in Starch Living’s Johannesburg atelier by skilled artisans.
